Common Animals

We have sheep that produce new lambs in spring. Most of the lambs are slaughtered in autumn. The meat is frozen and eaten throughout the year. The hides are sent for tanning and sold later to ourselves and others.

There are currently 3 smaller chicken holdings managed by different families, which supplement our common egg consumption. In addition to egg production, the chickens are slaughtered and frozen for later use.

We currently have two bull calves each summer that graze land and are slaughtered when winter approaches.

We also keep bees, which enjoy much of our land being allowed to be nature that takes care of itself.
